This month we have welcomed back our playgroup children and we have had such fun playing with our friends and making lots of new ones.
We have made the most of any good weather by walking and exploring our local area. We've been playing in the park, running and rolling in the cricket field, stomping around the surrounding stubble fields, examining the corn and talking about different food we like. We've also been enjoying the beautiful recreational garden with all its flowers and wildlife.
Autumn is an exciting season, there’s so much to discover. We've been observing the trees changing colour, collecting oak apples and cracking them open to find the wasps growing inside. We have been eating a lot of Ralph’s apples and they are delicious! We’ll be making pies and crumbles soon. We also explored the church grounds looking for oak trees so that we could collect acorns and sticks to paint in beautiful autumn colours.
We've been enjoying our outside space at playgroup too; playing on the climbing frame and in the sand and mixing and making dinner in our mud kitchen. We've been feeding and cuddling the guinea pigs and playing with Bailey the dog as well as playing fun games like "The floor is lava!" and Pete the Cat and his white shoes.
All in all it's great to be back! Unfortunately due to current restrictions we are still unable to run our Little Owls Baby and Toddler Group on a Tuesday afternoon. We are all keeping in touch via What's App though and on our Facebook page. If any parents would like to join us, either online or when we are able to meet again, and would like more information please contact us via the facebook page or email us.
And finally, our new committee and officers were elected at our recent AGM on 23rd September. As we are unable to raise money for playgroup this term in our usual ways, such as our popular Halloween Disco and Christmas Gift Fayre, we have tried to come up with some innovative fundraising ideas.
